The way other people treat us is a reflection of the way we treat ourselves. When we carry ourselves in a manner that is not respectful, it sends the message to others that we do not demand respect from them. If we don’t treat ourselves with love and honor, others won’t feel the need to either. When we are critical of ourselves we will be criticized by others. So, in what ways do you show yourself love, honor, and respect? Here are some ways to begin treating yourself the way others should treat you.
Surround Yourself with Positivity
Begin each day with a positive thought. Be conscious to refrain from negative thoughts throughout the day. Surround yourself with positive people and take notice of how they treat themselves. Adopt some of their positive habits that you can implement with yourself. Eliminate the negative self-talk and stop entertaining the negative talk from others.
Do More of What Makes You Happy
Listen to music or watch a good movie to put yourself in a good mood. Try something new. Cook your favorite dish or try a new recipe.
Diet and Exercise
Take a walk or go for a run to give yourself a chance to rest your mind and think about absolutely nothing! Reduce the number of bad foods you enjoy and increase the number of fruits and vegetables you consume. Don’t deprive yourself of the foods you like to eat, instead, find healthy recipes for the goodies you enjoy.

Imagine the best version of yourself and show up as that person. When you hold yourself in high regard, others will follow suit. De-clutter and organize your living space. Create a peaceful environment to thrive in.
